MAMARONECK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO HOST RIBBON-CUTTING
JILL KRUTICK FINE ART OPENS
Artist Preparing for Upcoming Solo Museum Exhibition
MAMARONECK, NEW YORK, June 6, 2018 – The Mamaroneck Chamber of Commerce is delighted to be hosting a highly-anticipated ribbon cutting ceremony at Jill Krutick Fine Art, a new working studio/art gallery right in the heart of Mamaroneck Village. The reception is open to the public and will be held on Thursday, June 14th, at 5:30PM, 425 Mt. Pleasant Ave. 2nd floor, Mamaroneck, NY 10543. Drinks and food will be served. Come celebrate art with us!
“Opening this studio will allow me to spread my wings as a professional artist. An expansive workspace in the vibrant heart of downtown Mamaroneck will be a mecca for creative energy in the development of my paintings,” observes Jill Krutick.
Bruce Helander, a world-famous art critic, artist and a former Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at the Rhode Island School of Design, will be curating Ms. Krutick’s museum exhibition. He describes her work thusly:
“Jill Krutick’s gentle and gracious works add enchanting, soulful excitement every day for life … her latest series of alluring works [the Swirl Series] … takes a viewer on an exciting pictorial journey that is filled with twists, twirls and unexpected turns down a handsome, imaginative, engaging path that the artist produces from scratch.”
Ira Goldberg, who served from 2001 to 2017 as the Executive Director of The Art Students League, New York’s renowned 142-year old art school, said, “Artists like Jill Krutick have taken up a courageous practice; to explore the depths of visual expression as the means of communicating her sensation. We laud her pursuit. We champion her crusade.”
Annette Blaugrund, former Director of the National Academy Museum and School of Fine Arts in New York, writes of Krutick:
“Inspired by earlier female artists such as Helen Frankenthaler and Lee Krasner, she persists in finding her place in the art world. Having fought her way to leadership and success on Wall Street and in the corporate world, Krutick has found the art world more welcoming because her predecessors fought and won a place for women artists.”
